Apple cider vinegar and honey with hot water are the only ingredients in this bedtime sleep drink.
This is a very effective sleep remedy and I take this drink every night. I first discovered this recipe from Tim Ferriss’s book ‘Tools of Titans‘. Tim writes:
“Honey + ACV [Apple Cider Vinegar]: My go-to tranquilizer beverage is simple: 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar (I use Bragg brand) and 1 tablespoon honey, stirred into 1 cup of hot water. This was taught to me by the late and great Seth Roberts, PhD. Some of his readers also noticed large and immediate strength improvements in exercise after a few days of using this pre-bed cocktail.”

After taking this drink before bedtime, my sleep was deeper and with fewer interuptions, particularly toilet trips. I feel more refreshed when I wake up and have more energy during the day.
Apple cider vinegar is easy to make yourself
You don’t have to buy apple cider vinegar. Making apple cider vinegar is easy – pour cider into a container and leave it exposed to the air. I put muslin over the top to prevent debris getting in. Keep in a dark place, and come back in a month’s time and you will have acv.

How the acv and honey drink might work.
Apple cider vinegar appears to stabilise blood sugar, see video below, which enhances sleep.
Honey on the other hand, contains tryptophan, a precursor or serotonin. Serotonin signals to the brain it is time to sleep. See video below.
I can only deduce that when you drink acv and honey, you are combining their respective sleep promoting properties. And this is why this drink promotes great sleep.
