A delectably scummy runny honey made by my honeybees who are hived in and around Wantage. Wantage is a market town, lying below the Berkshire Downs and looking over the Vale of the White Horse.
This honey was foraged from my two apiaries in Wantage; my home apiary near the Humber Ditch; my out apiary in the fields adjacent to Charlton (part of Wantage Parish).
My honey has been simply coarse filtered and filled into jars. The honey is contained in traditional 1lb jar – 454grams equates to 1lb. Being real and unrefined honey, it will granulate over time – which is a mark of its quality and a natural process.
If you wish, granulated honey can be brought back to being fully runny again by gently warming it.
I do not blend my honey and each batch will have its distinctive colour and flavour. As such, the photographs in the product description are for illustrative purposes; the colour of the honey you receive may vary.
I like to think that when you taste honey, you are tasting the place it comes from.
